Registrations for a training session conducted by MPA requires that participants register 7 business days prior to the event. NOTE: This course replaces CETP 4.2/4.3 Vapor Distribution Systems: Placing Systems into Service and Interior Vapor Distribution Systems.
Prerequisite required: Service Tech – Outside or CETP 4.1 Vapor Distribution Systems: Exterior Piping.
This course focuses primarily on the procedure of placing a vapor distribution system into operation on the interior of the house or downstream of the second stage regulator. We will be focusing on NFPA 54 requirements. Bring your NFAP 54 book to class.
The topics covered are:- Installing interior piping
- System tests
- Validating the container
- Regulator placement and operation
- Making the final connections to the propane system
- Purging air out of the gas lines
- Appliance controls and safety
- New appliances start up
- How to adjust burners on appliances
